Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and recommend policy interventions
- Develop and implement strategic health improvement programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Coordinate with federal agencies (CDC, CMS) for grant compliance and resource allocation
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership for policy adoption
- Lead cross-functional teams in crisis response and public health emergency preparedness
- Monitor legislative changes and assess operational impacts on departmental programs
- Manage $2M+ grant budgets with rigorous fiscal oversight requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government/public health administration
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Valid Florida Driver's License and ability to travel statewide
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation preferred
- Demonstrated success in securing federal/state grants
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA, ACA, and Florida Statutes 381
- Clear background check and security clearance eligibility
