Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and recommend interventions
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers and community organizations on health initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state policymakers and funding agencies
- Manage grant budgets exceeding $500K and ensure compliance with state regulations
- Train public health staff on data analysis protocols and program evaluation
- Represent the department at community health forums and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of public health program management experience
- Proficiency in SPSS, SAS, or R for statistical analysis
- Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience with CDC grant writing and reporting requirements
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health privacy laws
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) certification preferred
