Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive epidemiological studies using advanced statistical modeling
- Analyze complex health data to identify disease trends and public health risks
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for state health policy interventions
- Collaborate with local health departments on community health assessment projects
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders
- Oversee grant-funded public health initiatives and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate cross-departmental health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with public health program evaluation methodologies
- Knowledge of California public health systems and Title X requirements
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Experience with federal grant reporting and compliance (HRSA, CDC)
