Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and recommend targeted interventions
- Develop and implement community outreach programs for underserved populations
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, non-profits, and government agencies on health initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy briefs for county leadership
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Lead public health emergency response planning and execution
- Mentor junior staff and train community health workers
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health analysis or program management
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance (e.g., CDC, CMS)
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish required for community engagement
- Knowledge of California Health and Safety Code requirements
