Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health intervention programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and emerging threats
- Coordinate inter-agency responses to public health emergencies and disease outbreaks
- Lead community health education initiatives through partnerships with local organizations
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for county leadership
- Mentor junior public health staff and interns
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government or non-profit public health roles
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Experience with emergency preparedness protocols and HICS/NIMS systems
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
