Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify disease trends and public health vulnerabilities
- Develop and implement community health assessment strategies for Miami-Dade County
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, NGOs, and government agencies on health initiatives
- Create data visualizations and reports for policy-makers and public stakeholders
- Oversee grant-funded projects focused on health equity and disease prevention
- Train junior staff on public health data analysis methodologies
- Represent the department at community health forums and interagency meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health data analysis
- Proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and GIS mapping tools
- Experience with Miami-Dade County public health programs preferred
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English/Spanish
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
