Responsibilities
- Lead epidemiological investigations and disease surveillance for Miami-Dade County
- Develop and implement public health emergency response protocols
- Analyze health data to identify disparities and recommend policy interventions
- Coordinate with community stakeholders to deliver health education programs
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $500K+
- Prepare reports for state legislature and federal agencies
- Mentor junior analysts and supervise field teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field
- 3+ years of public health experience in government or non-profit
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible
- Advanced data analysis skills (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Experience with emergency management frameworks (NIMS/ICS)
- Knowledge of Florida public health statutes
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
