Responsibilities
- Design and implement disease surveillance systems for Chicago metropolitan area
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and trends
- Develop evidence-based public health policies and intervention strategies
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response protocols for health crises
- Lead community outreach programs to improve health literacy and access
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance to partner organizations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiology
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Proven experience managing grant-funded health programs
- Strong knowledge of CDC and IDPH protocols and reporting requirements
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Illinois residency required within 90 days of hire
- Valid Illinois driver's license (for field visits required)
