Responsibilities
- Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify health trends and disparities across diverse LA County communities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for chronic disease prevention and health equity initiatives
- Lead cross-functional task forces with state/federal agencies and community partners
- Manage public health emergency response protocols and resource allocation
- Design and implement health education campaigns targeting vulnerable populations
- Oversee $2M+ grant portfolios ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Present findings to elected officials and executive leadership boards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive public health policy analysis experience in government
- Advanced proficiency in SAS/R/Python with data visualization skills (Tableau/Power BI)
- Deep knowledge of CA Public Health Code and federal regulations (HIPAA, ACA)
- Proven track record managing multi-stakeholder health initiatives
- Valid California Driver's License
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Korean strongly preferred
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation
