Responsibilities
- Maintain and secure electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA and VA regulations

- Coordinate with IT department for system upgrades and troubleshooting
- Ensure compliance with federal health information standards (e.g., HL7, ICD-10)
- Conduct audits and quality control checks for medical documentation
- Support VA healthcare initiatives through accurate data management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
- 3+ years of health information management experience
- RHIT or RHIA certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic)
- Knowledge of HIPAA and VA health record regulations
- Experience with medical coding and documentation
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA security clearance
