Responsibilities
- Design and implement public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and maternal/child health initiatives
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and prioritize intervention strategies
- Coordinate multi-agency partnerships including hospitals, schools, and community organizations
- Develop grant proposals and manage federal/state funding allocations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for legislative briefings and public health advisory boards
- Conduct community needs assessments and program evaluations
- Lead crisis response coordination for public health emergencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation or analysis
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and data visualization tools
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel throughout El Paso County
- Experience with grant management and federal compliance (e.g., CDC, HRSA)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
- Knowledge of Texas Public Health Code and state regulatory frameworks
