Responsibilities
- Design and implement epidemiological surveillance systems for disease outbreak monitoring
- Analyze complex health data to identify trends and inform policy recommendations
- Lead community health assessments and develop targeted intervention strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on emergency preparedness planning
- Present findings to stakeholders through compelling reports and visualizations
- Mentor junior analysts and support departmental training initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal and state public health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, or SPSS)
- Experience with GIS mapping and spatial data analysis
- Valid California Driver's License
- Knowledge of Healthy People 2030 objectives and CDC guidelines
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
