Responsibilities
- Design and implement epidemiological studies to track disease trends and inform public health policies
- Analyze complex health data sets using statistical software (R, SAS, Python) to identify emerging health risks
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for community health interventions and emergency preparedness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on grant applications and program evaluations
- Present findings to policymakers, community stakeholders, and public health leadership
- Oversee junior staff and mentor interns in public health research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health data analysis and program evaluation
- Proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, or Python) and data visualization tools
- Strong knowledge of CDC/PH guidelines and local health regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Valid California Driver's License and ability to travel to community sites
- Experience with health equity initiatives and culturally responsive practices
