Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify disease trends and prioritize public health interventions
- Develop and implement community health assessment plans for underserved populations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols during public health crises
- Prepare comprehensive grant proposals and reports for state/federal funding agencies
- Mentor junior analysts and lead cross-departmental health initiatives
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve vaccination outreach programs
- Evaluate program effectiveness using KPIs and recommend evidence-based improvements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health analysis or program management
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and GIS mapping tools
- Certified Public Health Professional (CPH) credential required
- Experience managing federal/state health grants ($500k+ preferred)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for policy briefs and stakeholder presentations
- Knowledge of Texas public health regulations and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work flexible hours during emergency response situations
