Responsibilities
- Design and implement epidemiological studies to monitor disease trends and evaluate intervention effectiveness
- Analyze complex health data using statistical software (SPSS, R) to identify emerging public health threats
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for county health initiatives
- Collaborate with community partners and healthcare providers to coordinate response strategies
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership and public stakeholders
- Oversee public health emergency preparedness planning and response protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiology
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Experience with health data management and GIS mapping
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse team environments
- Knowledge of CDC and Florida DOH reporting requirements
