Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health datasets to identify emerging health trends and disparities in the San Antonio metropolitan area
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for state health initiatives targeting underserved communities
- Lead cross-departmental collaboration with local health authorities and community organizations
- Design and implement surveillance systems for infectious disease outbreaks and chronic conditions
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders and public health officials
- Maintain compliance with federal regulations (CDC, HHS) and state health protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiological research
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Proven track record of translating data into actionable public health interventions
- Deep knowledge of Texas public health systems and local San Antonio health landscape
