Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging public health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Develop and implement evidence-based health intervention programs for underserved communities
- Coordinate cross-agency initiatives with CDC, local health departments, and non-profit partners
- Prepare detailed reports and legislative briefings for state policymakers and stakeholders
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $500K
- Train public health professionals on data visualization and health informatics tools
- Lead crisis response coordination during public health emergencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in state/local government public health programs
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, R, or Python for statistical analysis
- Certified Public Health Professional (CPH) credential required
- Demonstrated experience with health policy impact assessment
- Proven track record of securing federal/state grants
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical audiences
- Valid Ohio driver's license
