Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data and health trends to inform county-wide public health strategies
- Develop evidence-based interventions for chronic disease prevention and health equity initiatives
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community partners and government agencies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for Board of Supervisors
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $1M
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee departmental data systems
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in governmental public health analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation preferred
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and compliance
- Strong knowledge of California public health regulations
- Exceptional written communication for policy documents
- Valid California Driver's License
