Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to develop targeted intervention strategies
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute public health emergency response protocols
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and state health agencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and GIS mapping
- Valid Texas Public Health Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Demonstrated success in securing and managing federal/state grants
- Experience developing health equity frameworks for underserved populations
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
