Responsibilities
- Analyze population health data to identify emerging trends and disparities in King County
- Design and implement evidence-based public health interventions targeting vulnerable populations
- Lead community engagement initiatives to gather stakeholder input on health priorities
- Develop comprehensive grant proposals and manage funding for health programs
- Present findings to senior leadership and public officials with actionable recommendations
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate interdepartmental health projects
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local public health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive public health experience with community-based initiatives
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated success in securing and managing public health grants
- Experience working with culturally diverse populations and health equity frameworks
- Strong project management skills with ability to lead complex initiatives
- Valid Washington State Driver's License (for field visits)
- Knowledge of King County's public health landscape and policies
