Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health interventions targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and prioritize resource allocation
- Coordinate cross-departmental emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Lead community outreach programs promoting preventive health services and health literacy
- Manage grant applications and ensure compliance with federal/state health regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and supervise public health program implementation
- Present findings to county commissioners and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in government/public health sector
- Valid Texas Public Health Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Advanced proficiency in SPSS, SAS, or R for statistical analysis
- Proven experience managing federal grant projects ($500K+)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and Texas DSHS regulations
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with bilingual (Spanish) preferred
