Responsibilities
- Lead complex epidemiological investigations for communicable diseases and public health emergencies
- Develop and implement outbreak control strategies in collaboration with county partners
- Analyze health data trends and prepare comprehensive reports for public health officials
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, laboratories, and community organizations for rapid response
- Train frontline staff and community health workers on investigation protocols
- Manage public health emergency response operations during critical incidents
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in disease investigation or public health emergency response
- Certified in Incident Command System (ICS) or equivalent emergency management training
- Strong statistical analysis skills with proficiency in Epi-Info or similar software
- Excellent communication skills for diverse community and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to work under pressure during public health emergencies
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
