Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate public health policies aligned with county strategic goals and CDC guidelines
- Analyze complex health data to identify emerging trends and recommend actionable interventions
- Collaborate with community stakeholders, healthcare providers, and government agencies
- Lead cross-functional projects addressing health equity and social determinants
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy briefs for County Commissioners and public forums
- Secure and manage grant funding for public health initiatives
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate interdepartmental policy implementation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health policy experience in government or non-profit settings
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative data analysis using SPSS, R, or SAS
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based health policy recommendations
- Strong stakeholder engagement and legislative advocacy experience
- Knowledge of Oregon's public health system and Multnomah County demographics
- Valid Oregon driver's license and reliable transportation
