Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data-driven public health policies aligned with state and federal mandates
- Analyze complex healthcare datasets to identify emerging health trends and disparities
- Collaborate with legislative bodies to draft and advocate for health legislation
- Oversee Medicaid program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives
- Coordinate emergency preparedness protocols across 64 parishes
- Lead cross-functional teams of epidemiologists, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders
- Present findings to the State Health Officer and legislative committees
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, SAS, Stata)
- Demonstrated experience with Medicaid/Medicare program administration
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- SHRM-SCP or MPA preferred
- Knowledge of Louisiana's Code of Governmental Ethics
