Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Conduct epidemiological investigations and data analysis to identify emerging health trends
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses for public health crises
- Train healthcare professionals and community health workers on best practices
- Secure and manage grant funding for public health initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address social determinants of health
- Prepare detailed reports for county commissioners and public health board
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and program management
- Strong understanding of Texas public health regulations
- Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Valid Texas driver's license
