Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Lead emergency preparedness initiatives including pandemic response protocols
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy decisions
- Coordinate community health outreach and vaccination campaigns
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Mentor junior staff and train public health professionals
- Collaborate with hospitals, NGOs, and government agencies on health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years of public health experience with local government preferred
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Advanced data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS/R/Python
- Experience with emergency response planning and crisis management
- Strong grant writing and budget management abilities
- Valid New York State driver's license
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
