Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Lead emergency preparedness initiatives and coordinate disaster response protocols
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy decisions
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to design culturally competent health interventions
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Train and supervise junior public health staff and interns
- Represent the department at interagency meetings and community forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of public health program management experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Advanced data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS/R/STATA
- Proven experience developing community health outreach strategies
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and Louisiana public health regulations
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and grant-writing abilities
