Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee evidence-based public health programs targeting Arlington's priority health needs
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises and natural disasters
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends and inform intervention strategies
- Lead community outreach initiatives to underserved populations and vulnerable groups
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Train and mentor junior staff on public health best practices
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and public health advisory boards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health experience
- Valid Texas Public Health Practitioner certification
- Expertise in health data analysis using SPSS, SAS, or R
- Demonstrated experience with emergency preparedness planning
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
