Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and prioritize intervention areas
- Coordinate with community organizations, schools, and healthcare providers to deliver health education initiatives
- Develop grant proposals and manage budgets for public health projects
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and public health advisory boards
- Lead crisis response efforts during public health emergencies
- Mentor junior staff and supervise community health worker teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health program management
- Texas Department of State Health Services certification required
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Proven experience developing community health partnerships
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
