Responsibilities
- Lead design, planning, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, and public facilities.
- Oversee engineering compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (Caltrans, FEMA, CA Building Codes).
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for capital improvement programs.
- Conduct technical reviews of consultant designs and contractor submittals for quality assurance.
- Develop engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates for City Council presentations.
- Coordinate with environmental agencies for permitting and sustainability initiatives (LEED, green infrastructure).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in municipal public works engineering.
- Valid California Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Proficiency in CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred).
- Experience with federal grant applications and infrastructure funding programs.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated success in complex capital projects.
- Knowledge of ADA compliance and Title VI regulations.
