Responsibilities
- Oversee design and execution of multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources while ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and government stakeholders
- Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments for ongoing projects
- Develop technical specifications and construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Prepare grant applications and funding proposals for capital improvement projects
- Present project updates to county commissioners and community groups
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in municipal/county public works projects
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required at time of hire
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS mapping, and project management software
- Demonstrated experience with TxDOT and FEMA compliance standards
- Strong leadership abilities with successful team management history
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical and public presentations
