Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with city codes and engineering standards
- Review and approve contractor plans, specifications, and quality control procedures
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate project documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and city officials to resolve technical issues
- Enforce safety regulations and environmental compliance on construction sites
- Manage project timelines and budgets for assigned infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of construction inspection experience with government projects
- Texas Inspector Certification (TxDOT or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and ADA standards
- Proficiency in CAD software and construction project management tools
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
