Responsibilities
- Execute heavy civil construction projects including road maintenance, drainage systems, and public facility renovations
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, graders, and asphalt pavers with precision
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety standards and municipal regulations
- Lead crew coordination and material management for large-scale municipal projects
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tools
- Document project progress and maintain accurate field reports
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers for seamless execution
Qualifications
- 3+ years of verifiable experience in public works or heavy civil construction
- Valid Washington State Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment (excavator, dozer, roller)
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Seattle municipal construction protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
