Responsibilities
- Execute heavy civil construction projects including road maintenance, sewer line repairs, and bridge inspections
- Operate specialized equipment (excavators, asphalt pavers, compactors) with OSHA-certified proficiency
- Adhere to strict safety protocols while working in high-traffic urban environments
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret blueprints and technical specifications
- Maintain accurate project documentation and equipment maintenance logs
- Mentor junior laborers on best practices and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in municipal construction or heavy civil projects
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with hazardous materials endorsement
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 80+ pounds and operate in extreme weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Ohio Department of Transportation standards
