Responsibilities
- Execute complex infrastructure projects including road construction, drainage systems, and utility maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, asphalt pavers) with precision and safety awareness
- Lead crews during emergency response operations for weather-related incidents
- Perform quality control inspections ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
- Maintain detailed project documentation and safety compliance records
- Train junior laborers in advanced equipment operation and safety protocols
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of public works or heavy construction experience
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker endorsement
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
- Proficiency in operating at least 3 types of heavy machinery
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with GIS mapping and municipal project documentation
- First Aid/CPR certification
