Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform complex road maintenance and asphalt repairs
- Lead crew coordination during emergency storm response
- Execute concrete work for sidewalks and drainage systems
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety protocols
- Manage material inventory and waste disposal logistics
- Train junior laborers on OSHA compliance procedures
Qualifications
- 5+ years of public works or heavy construction experience
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
- Ability to operate 5+ heavy equipment types
- First Aid/CPR certification required
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent
