Responsibilities
- Execute complex infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage systems, and utility coordination
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, rollers) with precision and safety protocols
- Lead crew projects during emergency response scenarios (floods, storms)
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
- Ensure OSHA compliance and implement safety standards for all operations
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate work documentation and inventory control
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of public works or heavy construction experience
- Certified in OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Heavy machinery operation certification (excavator, dozer)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs
- Experience with municipal project documentation systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and emergency response training
- High school diploma or equivalent required
