Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate municipal infrastructure maintenance projects including roads, drainage systems, and public facilities
- Supervise field crews, ensuring compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Prepare detailed project reports, budgets, and resource allocation plans
- Coordinate with engineering departments and community stakeholders for project alignment
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend infrastructure lifespan
- Conduct field inspections and quality control assessments
- Train junior staff on equipment operation and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of public works or municipal maintenance experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Certification in Public Works Management (CPWM) preferred
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and infrastructure management software
- Demonstrated experience with heavy equipment operation
- Strong knowledge of municipal procurement and contracting processes
- Ability to work flexible hours including emergency response
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
