Key Responsibilities:

- Design & Development: Lead the architecture and implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications and APIs using modern languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
- System Optimization: Analyze system performance and optimize database queries, cloud infrastructure, and application code to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Security Compliance: Enforce strict cybersecurity protocols and ensure all software adheres to federal, state, and local government compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, FISMA).
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including project managers, UI/UX designers, and subject matter experts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Mentorship: Guide junior developers and engineers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of technical excellence and best practices.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and deploy applications on cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) using containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including API documentation and system architecture diagrams.
Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on full-stack development or backend architecture.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#. Strong experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL solutions.
- Cloud Expertise: Demonstrated experience working with AWS or Azure, including deployment, management, and serverless computing.
- Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and utilizing version control systems (Git/GitHub).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide innovative solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
