Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable software solutions for state agency applications using modern frameworks.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and business analysts, to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure all applications meet strict security standards and compliance regulations required by state and federal government.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues to minimize downtime and improve user experience.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Document technical architecture and system configurations to facilitate knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience in a government or enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and React.
- Familiarity with database management systems (SQL, Oracle, or MongoDB) and ORM tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
