Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee Active Directory administration, user account management, and group policies for state employees.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data against cyber threats.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.
- Document system configurations, processes, and technical procedures for knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration or Network Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure cloud services.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or MCSA are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced government environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with non-technical staff and management.
