Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and administration of local servers, storage systems, and network infrastructure.
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal standards.
- Conduct system performance tuning, health checks, and capacity planning to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff and end-users.
- Manage software licensing, patching, and deployment of updates across the enterprise environment.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execute critical system migrations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent years of experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Systems Administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are highly preferred.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
