Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Implement and manage advanced security protocols to protect sensitive state data.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues in real-time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support digital transformation and modernization projects.
- Ensure 99.9% uptime for critical government applications and databases.
- Conduct regular system audits, backups, and disaster recovery testing.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration.
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Azure, and cloud infrastructure management.
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell and scripting languages.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to obtain a Washington State Public Trust background check.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
