Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of on-premise and cloud-based server environments.
- Security & Compliance: Implement robust security protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure adherence to state and federal compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Project Leadership: Lead critical IT initiatives and provide technical mentorship to junior staff, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- System Monitoring: Utilize advanced monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve system anomalies before they impact users.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with business objectives and improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in Systems Administration, preferably within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure and provide strategic solutions.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as MCSA, AWS Solutions Architect, or CISSP are highly preferred.
