Your Role:
The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in server management, virtualization, and network infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance service delivery and ensure data security across all state agencies.
Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive state data against cyber threats.
- Perform system troubleshooting, patch management, and hardware upgrades for server hardware and storage systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and automate routine administrative tasks.
- Conduct regular system audits and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior system administrators and IT support staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Azure, and VMware.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Must pass a background check and possess the necessary security clearance.
