Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and administration of the state network infrastructure and servers.
- Implement and enforce strict cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive government data.
- Conduct system performance tuning, capacity planning, and regular backups.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to upgrade legacy systems and implement cloud solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal IT regulations and policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Systems Administration or Network Engineering.
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Strong proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and disaster recovery planning.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain a government security clearance.
