Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex IT infrastructure, including Windows Server, Linux environments, and virtualization systems.
- Implement and enforce rigorous security protocols to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct regular system audits, performance tuning, and capacity planning to optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure solutions for government operations.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior staff members on best practices.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all system configurations and troubleshooting processes.
- Respond to and resolve critical system outages with minimal downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in Linux, Windows Server, PowerShell, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA, CIS Controls).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret).
