Role Overview
The Senior Systems Analyst will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will design, develop, and implement complex information systems while ensuring strict adherence to state security and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for system design.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of software development projects, from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate legacy systems with modern cloud-based solutions.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement robust security protocols.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical manuals and user guides.
- Train and mentor junior analysts and junior staff on best practices and system functionalities.
- Ensure all IT solutions comply with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and FOIA requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or software development within the public sector or a large enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, or C#.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass a background investigation.
