Responsibilities
- Lead System Optimization: Analyze complex business requirements and design scalable technical solutions to improve operational efficiency for city departments.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and non-technical staff, translating business needs into actionable technical specifications.
- Project Management: Oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard sensitive city data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- System Integration: Integrate disparate systems and databases to create a unified, seamless experience for city employees and citizens.
- Training & Mentorship: Mentor junior analysts and conduct training sessions to upskill the technology team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT consulting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Java, .NET, or Python. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is highly desirable.
- Government Experience: Prior experience working in the public sector or with government contracts is a strong plus.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and provide innovative solutions.
