Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Configure and maintain Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) to optimize resource utilization.
- Oversee Active Directory administration, user management, and group policy enforcement.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement proactive security measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT systems align with state regulatory requirements and business objectives.
- Document system configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and network protocols.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and virtualization technologies is preferred.
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or higher certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
